Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Early Childhood Weekend Supervisor to lead engaging and nurturing activities for young children during weekend hours. In this role, you will oversee classroom operations, support early childhood development initiatives, and ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children. Your leadership will inspire both staff and children, fostering a positive atmosphere that promotes learning, socialization, and well-being. Facility director is open to this being a part-time of full-time position. Friday/Saturday/Sunday or Saturday and Sunday 12hr shifts.
Must have 2 years experience working with children in a licensed childcare facility
Must have a minimum of a cda. however or prior director's experience is preferred
Must have supervisory experiencing with managing staff
Duties
- Supervise weekend classroom activities, ensuring alignment with curriculum development standards and early childhood education best practices
- Support teachers in lesson planning, classroom management, and implementing literacy education and math activities
- Manage behavior management strategies to promote positive social interactions among children
- Oversee toddler care routines, including feeding, diapering, and physical development exercises
- Coordinate with staff to ensure compliance with child welfare policies and safety regulations during all activities
- Facilitate communication with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and daily experiences
- Assist in preparing educational materials for lessons focused on childhood development, preschool readiness, and Montessori methods
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood education settings or daycare environments
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to lead a team effectively during weekend shifts
- Knowledge of special education strategies and early intervention techniques for diverse learning needs
- Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing standardized testing or assessments
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with staff, parents, and community partners
- Familiarity with teaching physical education and tutoring methods suitable for young learners
- Prior experience in preschool or private school settings is preferred; Montessori training is a plus
