DESCRIPTION
Frequent contact, along with the Case Manager, with families is provided to connect them to community resources to help them build upon their strengths. The objective is to support the family in being successful in reaching their goals. The Child Success Specialist (CSS) involves observing and assessing the behaviors and development of children enrolled at Early Connections (EC), many of whom have experienced trauma.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The CSS duties include working with the EC team to provide direct support in the classroom, suggest strategies for student success, conduct social emotional learning, write newsletters, train staff, collaborate with agencies involved and supervise children riding in a company vehicle.
REQUIREMENTS
Master’s Degree in counseling, social work, psychology, child development, education or related field is required.
