Role Description
This full-time or part-time driving role at Abby Vans in Wisconsin is for a Non-Emergency Medical Driver. Responsibilities include providing safe, dependable transportation for passengers to non-emergency medical appointments. Daily duties include strict adherence to traffic laws when operating the vehicle, assisting passengers with boarding and exiting, and overseeing vehicle maintenance. Drivers must accurately document trips and foster a positive, respectful environment for all passengers.

Your assigned vehicle is kept at your home. You are compensated from the moment you leave your driveway until you return. Tentative routes are provided the day prior.

Prerequisites
- 21 years of age or older - 4-year min. driving experience
- Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License
- Good Driving Record
- Must pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screen and be randomly tested thereafter
- 10 Year Background Check
- Pre-Requisite Certificates: CPR/First Aid Certification - Passenger Sensitivity - Defensive Driving *Abby Vans pays for cost of training but training time is not paid.
Physical Requirements
- Safely operate a motor vehicle in all weather conditions.
- Provide supervision/assist clients in entering and exiting the vehicle.
- Use proper body mechanics when loading and unloading clients.
- Secure vehicle passenger and wheelchair restraints
- Operate motor vehicle wheelchair lift/ramp on accessible vehicles.
- Lift up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 350 pounds as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Communicate and follow instructions from the office or clients. Operate electronic devices as needed to support these tasks.
- Be friendly, courteous, patient, and work to resolve conflicts without being argumentative.
