JOB DESCRIPTION: Join us as a Quality Assurance Officer at Abbott Breda! About the role We are looking for a Quality Officer to join our operations team in Breda. In this role, you will help ensure that components, materials and services meet defined quality standards by applying inspection and testing methods, analyzing quality data, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. This position is ideal for someone early in their quality career who enjoys hands‑on work, data analysis and problem‑solving in a structured, regulated environment. About the Breda site Abbott has recently opened a new state‑of‑the‑art distribution center in Breda, the Netherlands, further strengthening its global supply network. This modern facility supports the growing worldwide demand for Abbott’s science‑based nutrition and medical nutrition products. Located adjacent to Abbott’s existing distribution centers, the new site offers more than 18,000 m² of storage space and adds capacity for 22,000 pallets. Together, the Breda distribution centers form the logistical heart of Abbott’s global operations and provides value added service, therefore playing a critical role in ensuring reliable, high‑quality product delivery to patients and customers around the world. Key responsibilities As a Quality Officer, you will: Apply quality principles, procedures and standards to ensure compliance Document quality issues and performance indicators for management review Inspect, verify and validate components and materials used in development and operational processes Analyze quality records, prepare reports, and identify trends or opportunities for improvement Identify recurring quality or testing issues and support corrective and preventive actions Collaborate with internal stakeholders and, where required, liaise with external suppliers document control process in M-files and training in Compliance Wire, including delivering classroom training sessions. Operational execution of Quality Hold and lot trace requests. Support with other QA compliance tasks, such as internal audits, CAPA management, supplier management, complaints, etc., depending on your experience and interests. What do you Bring? Education Completed at least an MBO4 in quality, engineering, manufacturing, life sciences or a related field is an advantage. Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in testing or lab environment. Familiarity with quality systems, inspection techniques or testing methodologies through work experience in pharma, medical devices or food is preferred.
