Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Machine Tool Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and rebuilding industrial machines and mechanical equipment used in manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting skills, mechanical aptitude, and hands-on experience with precision machinery.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair machine tools such as lathes, mills, grinders, CNC equipment
- Disassemble and reassemble machines to replace or repair parts
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections
- Align, adjust, and calibrate machinery to ensure accuracy and proper operation
- Use precision tools, schematics, and manuals to identify mechanical issues
- Fabricate, fit, and assemble replacement parts as needed
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Travel to customer facilities to install and service machines.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a machine tool mechanic, millwright, or similar role
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments
- Welding, machining, or fabrication experience a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent
