Entry Level Machine Operator (All shifts)

Abbott Interfast, a leading fastener manufacturer and supplier with a commitment to quality and innovation, is seeking an Entry Level Machine Operator to join our team in Wheeling, Illinois. This Machine Operator will play a crucial role in our production process, ensuring that machinery operates efficiently and safely to meet production schedules. Ideal candidates will have experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment, a strong attention to detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality products. Training will be provided.

Responsibility

• Conduct regular inspections and quality checks of production output to ensure compliance with specifications
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine issues to minimize downtime
• Maintain accurate records of production metrics and machine performance
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines
• Assist in training new operators on machinery and procedures
  
  

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience as a Machine Operator in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred
• Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment

Salary:

• $20 to $24 per hour, based on experience and shift
• 3rd shift will take priority for hiring but looking for someone for all shifts
