$18.00 to $21.00 An Hour (DOE)
Purpose:
Ensure the safety and sanitation of the building by providing an environment for residents and staff members that meets regulatory and Agency standards. Assure the most efficient use of facilities, equipment and supplies by oversight and by providing methods of use and disbursement that will maximize Agency resources without adversely affecting the program, residents or staff.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to maintain a sanitary and well-kept work place.
Conscientious and self directed.
Valid South Dakota driver’s license.
Ability to work with staff members and residents in a collaborative environment.
Responsible To: Support Services Supervisor
Principal Accountabilities:
Ensure the general cleanliness of all living areas and equipment.
Maintain inventories of necessary cleaning and household supplies.
Verify compliance with all health and fire safety guidelines.
Ensure that linen (agency and residential use) is laundered and replaced as needed.
Communicate information concerning facility repairs, safety/security issues and other plant or equipment needs to the Support Services Supervisor.
Work in cooperation with other support staff (Food Service, Youth Care, and housekeeping) to ensure the timely maintenance and repair of vehicles, equipment and furnishings.
Assist in the transportation of residents, if needed.
Other tasks as assigned.
