This is a full-time, on-site Veterinary Assistant position at our Antioch, CA location. The Veterinary Assistant will assist veterinarians with animal examinations, provide pet care, maintain cleanliness and organization in the facility, and offer educational support to clients about animal care and treatments. Additional responsibilities include supporting front desk tasks and ensuring exceptional customer service to all clients.
- Animal Care and Pet Care experience, including handling, feeding, and monitoring animals
- Client Education and Customer Service skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and educate pet owners about care and treatments
- Basic knowledge of Veterinary Medicine practices and procedures
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Compassionate, empathetic, and attentive to both pets and their owners
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional veterinary assistant certification is a plus
- Physical ability to handle and restrain animals safely
