Abbey Senior Health is a 55-bed skilled nursing facility located on the beautiful campus of the Village of St. Mary’s in O’Fallon, Missouri. Our commitment to providing exceptional care for aging adults in a faith-based environment is at the heart of everything we do. We are currently seeking a full-time Dishwasher to join our dedicated Dietary team.
Position Summary:
The Dishwasher plays an important role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation within the Dietary Department. This position ensures that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned and ready for use, contributing to a safe and pleasant dining experience for our residents.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain a steady work pace to produce an adequate supply of clean dishes, utensils, and cookware.

Scrape, rinse, and load soiled dishes and utensils into the dish machine.

Operate the dishwashing machine and monitor the cleaning process for efficiency and safety.

Sort, dry, and store clean dishes, utensils, pots, and pans in designated areas.

Keep the dishwashing and kitchen area clean, organized, and sanitary.

Follow infection control, safety, and facility policies at all times.

Report any equipment issues or maintenance needs promptly to the Food Service Director.

Maintain resident confidentiality and uphold all Resident Rights policies.

Assist with other duties as assigned by the Food Service Director.
Qualifications:

Previous experience in food service or a kitchen setting preferred, but not required.

Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Reliable attendance and positive attitude required.
