Abbeville General Hospital is hiring for a Patient Access Specialist Position: Full time Patient Access Specialist for Patient Access Department.
Position(s) Avaliable
- Patient Access Specialist (8a-4:30p) - One (1) avaliable.
Patient Access Specialist Position Summary:
- Obtain and document prior authorization numbers for OP, IP, Observation, Pain Management, and Sleep Studies.
- Assist with registering patients as needed.
Patient Access Specialist Required Experience:
- Prior Authorization and Registration Experience
Patient Access Greeter Educational Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Patient Access Greeter Physical Requirements:
- Medium Work as defined by the U.S. Department of Labor constitutes a maximum lift of 21-50 pounds on occasion and/or a maximum lift of 11-25 pounds on a frequent basis
- May be required to assist in the turning, lifting, or moving patients as well as walking about from patients’ rooms, as well as to and from various hospital areas
