Senior Fund Accountant

Our client is a leading private investment firm. They seek a remote Senior Fund Accountant to join their team.

Responsibilities

• Perform fund accounting and reconciliation for multiple investment vehicles, including general ledger maintenance and intercompany accounts
• Record all activity and transactions, including accruals, wires, capital calls, and distributions
• Prepare quarterly financial statements, investor reports, and capital account statements
• Manage fund operations, including expense allocations, management fees, waterfall calculations, and cash flow processes
• Coordinate with external custodian banks, fund administrators, auditors, and tax professionals to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Enhance internal controls and accounting processes by supporting software implementations, historical data reconciliations, and process documentation
• Partner with investment and operations teams to provide financial insights
• Support the CFO and Controller with ad hoc financial projects and process automation initiatives

Requirements

• 2-4 years of fund accounting experience
• Private equity or venture capital experience is a plus
• Public, combo, or private experience
• Highly analytical and detail-oriented
• Hands-on and eager to drive processes
• Excellent communication skills
• CPA preferred
