Our client is an international bank. They seek a Network Administrator to join their Manhattan, NY office.
Responsibilities
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining networking hardware and software including managing network hardware redundancy
- Monitoring network traffic performance to identify potential issues (e.g., bottlenecks, latency), forecasting network capacity, and implementing necessary hardware or software upgrades
- Managing network services such as DNS, DHCP, and IP configuration
- Diagnosing and resolving network connectivity issues
- Providing technical support for users experiencing network-related problems
- Staying informed of emerging network technologies and ensuring network systems comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date network documentation, including network diagrams and configurations
- Implementing network security measures under CISO guidance, including firewalls, VPNs, and antivirus software
- Monitoring and responding to security breaches, network vulnerabilities, and threats
- Assisting with matters related to security audits and penetration testing
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 5-7 years of experience in network administration and support of Routers, Switches and Firewall
- Proficient with Network protocols and Cisco networking equipment, IronPort, and CheckPoint
- Experience with network and systems monitoring tools
- Excellent trouble shooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- CCNA, CompTIA Network , CCNP, or similar certifications
