Our client is a leading private investment firm. They seek a remote Senior Fund Accountant to join their team.
Responsibilities
- Perform fund accounting and reconciliation for multiple investment vehicles, including general ledger maintenance and intercompany accounts
- Record all activity and transactions, including accruals, wires, capital calls, and distributions
- Prepare quarterly financial statements, investor reports, and capital account statements
- Manage fund operations, including expense allocations, management fees, waterfall calculations, and cash flow processes
- Coordinate with external custodian banks, fund administrators, auditors, and tax professionals to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Enhance internal controls and accounting processes by supporting software implementations, historical data reconciliations, and process documentation
- Partner with investment and operations teams to provide financial insights
- Support the CFO and Controller with ad hoc financial projects and process automation initiatives
Requirements
- 2-4 years of fund accounting experience
- Private equity or venture capital experience is a plus
- Public, combo, or private experience
- Highly analytical and detail-oriented
- Hands-on and eager to drive processes
- Excellent communication skills
- CPA preferred
