Our client is a premier international law firm. They seek a Legal Team Assistant to join their Washington, DC office.
Responsibilities
- Provide and coordinate legal administrative support for attorneys and clients; review, track, and complete incoming requests while routing to appropriate teams as needed and ensuring timely follow-up and quality control
- Prepare and edit documents, spreadsheets, revisions, and blacklines
- Generate Tables of Authorities/Contents; assist with pleadings, pro-bono audit letters, presentations, and filing support, including notarization
- Conduct competitive intelligence research and support database updates, including the use of machine learning tools to refine results and maintain data accuracy
- Organize and maintain electronic and paper files using NetDocuments and other systems
- Process invoices, expense reimbursements, and disbursements; assist with new business intake, engagement documentation, billing support, and compliance with client guidelines
- Manage attorney calendars, contacts, meetings, deadlines, and client activities; coordinate court dates, conference logistics, and maintain CRM and business development records
- Handle general administrative tasks including correspondence, mail distribution, phone coverage, visitor reception, travel coordination, and expense reporting
- Perform additional administrative duties and special projects as assigned
Requirements
- High school degree required; college degree preferred
- 5 years of administrative /clerical support experience
- Professional services industry required
- Experience working effectively in changing team environments
- Experience with effective workload balancing
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong grammatical and proofreading skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability and willingness to learn new technology and software platforms
- Strong computer/general database skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
