Recruiting for a Family Law Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join a prestigious and well-established, board-certified family law firm representing domestic and international, high-net-worth divorces and paternity cases in Miami, FL.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Gather and organize client documents, including all financials, records, title, and other documents
- Assist clients with Mandatory Disclosures
- Draft initial legal documents, including financial affidavits, child support guidelines, motions, pleadings, settlement agreements, schedules, and correspondence
- Manage e-filing, PACER filings, and e-service for court documents
- Handle meeting, court, and Trial Prep - prepare binders, exhibits, trial documents, trial logistics, witnesses, etc
- Prep Clients for depositions, hearings, mediations, and discovery
- Manage deadlines
- Maintain the Attorney's calendar; schedule due dates, hearings, depositions, and mediations; and manage upcoming case events and client meetings.
- Maintain excellent communications with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and other relevant parties.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of complex litigation experience, preferably in family law.
- Experience reviewing financial statements, bank statements, brokerage account statements, etc.
- Experience with Florida e-filing and PACER portals
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and deadline management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
