Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly financial and management reports for the funds
- Collaborate with outside administrators to create and maintain the financial records for the entities
- Verify administrator data against internal portfolio management systems
- Support quarterly/annual financial statement and footnote disclosure preparation and review
- Conduct various balance sheet/profit and loss reconciliations and reporting for loan portfolios
- Partner with product accountants on complex securitizations and other deals to ensure proper presentation in official books and records, including cost rolls and other financial reporting schedules
- Oversee expense accrual budgets, analyze budget-to-actuals, and liaise with relevant departments on expense projections and allocations between deals or desks
- Contribute to the preparation of quarterly/annual investor/regulatory reporting
- Collaborate with the tax function in preparation of periodic tax deliverables and tax-related compliance support, as well as tax projections and planning based on accounting data
- 2-5 years of fund accounting experience
- Hedge fund experience is a plus
- Credit (fixed income, derivatives, whole loans, MBS) is preferred
- CPA preferred
- Strong excel skills required
- SQL experience is a plus
