What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full Charge Bookkeeper position at Abacus Bookkeeping?
Growing bookkeeping firm looking for proficient QuickBooks full-charge bookkeepers with an understanding of accounting. This position is part-time to start with about
20-30hours a week. For this position the bookkeeper will need to be generally available during business hours Monday-Friday and be able to travel to different clients in the Los Angeles area. They will also need to be able to meet at our office in North Hollywood, Wednesdays and Fridays between 8-5pm. We must stress the individual for this position will need to be available to get on client zoom calls during working hours throughout the week, and travel to clients. There will be some things that can be done remotely also.
We work with small to medium sized businesses in many industries.
Expectations:
- Accounting degree or background
- QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification (preferred)
Experience reconciling AR and AP to vendor statements, matching payment to invoices that may have been expensed, etc.
Able to unwind messes (experienced bookkeepers will know exactly what I mean)
- Proficient Excel and general computer skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to work within basic business systems (time tracking, task tracking, etc.)
- Ability to document steps and develop training
- Desire for growth and an entrepreneurial spirit
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Ability to meet deadlines
