Special Education Teacher Details :
Openings in Elementary, Middle, and High School
Contract can start in 2025 or for the 2025 / 2026 school year
Pay :
48 - $53 per hour
Room to negotiate pay based on experience
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Valid Special Education Teacher's License in the state of AR.
Proficiency in the subject area; experience with case management, paperwork, compliance, and IEPs
At least one year of teaching experience with students with a variety of disabilities, including students with behavior disorders and other learning and cognitive delays, preferred.
Must possess strong communication and organizational skills.
Must demonstrate initiative and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Must have the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; and the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; May include frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to approximately 25 pounds and occasional lifting of equipment and / or materials weighing up to approximately 40 pounds may be required.
As a Special Education Teacher, you will :
Set measurable instructional goals tailored to individual student needs.
Create a respectful classroom environment that fosters positive behavior and learning.
Develop and implement individual behavior support plans as necessary.
Regularly assess student performance and maintain accurate records.
Communicate effectively with families and team members regarding student progress.
Delegate tasks to support personnel to enhance learning opportunities.
