Aashian Travel crafts memorable, customer-first journeys for leisure and corporate clients. We’re looking for an energetic, service-minded entry-level Travel Agent to learn the trade, support bookings, and grow with our team.
Role summary
This is a hands-on, learning role: you’ll assist with client bookings, build itineraries under supervision, and handle day-to-day operations while receiving on-the-job training (GDS, ticketing, supplier portals, customer care). Ideal for someone launching a travel career who loves planning and helping people travel smoothly.
Key responsibilities
- Support senior agents with creating and refining itineraries for leisure and business clients.
- Make reservations for flights, hotels, transfers and tours using booking tools and supplier portals under supervision.
- Assist with ticketing, invoicing, payment processing and record-keeping.
- Respond to client inquiries by phone, chat or email with a friendly, timely approach.
- Research travel options, fares, and visa/entry requirements.
- Help monitor flight/hotel changes and notify clients; escalate issues to senior staff.
- Learn and use GDS/booking platforms — attend training and complete supervised practice.
- Participate in team huddles, training sessions and occasional after-hours support rotation as needed.
Qualifications
- 0–1 year experience in travel, hospitality, customer service, or related internships — we welcome recent graduates.
- Strong verbal and written English; additional languages are a plus.
- Comfortable with computers; basic Excel/Google Sheets and CRM experience helpful.
- High attention to detail and good organizational skills.
- Friendly, patient customer-service mindset and eagerness to learn ticketing rules and procedures.
- Willingness to work occasional evenings/weekends for urgent client needs.
Preferred (not required): Certificate/diploma in Travel & Tourism, hospitality coursework, or familiarity with any GDS (Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo).
