Join a Veteran-focused outpatient team in St. Cloud, Minnesota, providing primary care under the Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) model. This locum tenens role supports high-quality, patient-centered care with a predictable weekday schedule and strong interdisciplinary collaboration.
Compensation: $140–$150 per hour
Schedule and Workload
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
- No weekends or federal holidays
- Up to 80 clinical hours per week plus up to 5 hours weekly for approved administrative duties, training, and related activities
- Average caseload: ~12 patients per day
- Typical appointment length: 30–60 minutes
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive outpatient primary care in a team-based setting
- Provide preventive services: annual wellness visits, screenings, and immunizations
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and minor injuries
- Manage chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, and coronary artery disease
- Offer patient education on disease prevention, nutrition, weight management, and healthy lifestyles
- Evaluate and manage a broad range of conditions, including respiratory, dermatologic, musculoskeletal, neurologic, women’s health, geriatric, and behavioral health concerns
- Coordinate care with specialists and interdisciplinary teams; initiate referrals (specialty care, social work) as needed
- Prescribe per VA policies and evidence-based guidelines
- Provide discharge instructions, arrange follow-up care, and complete timely, accurate electronic medical documentation
Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Current, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory
- Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification
- Active DEA registration and NPI
- Clear Office of Inspector General (OIG) status
- Proof of medical liability insurance/indemnification
