Join a large multi-specialty faculty practice group as a full-time inpatient attending psychiatrist in Phoenix, Arizona. Provide care for hospitalized adults with serious mental illness within a collaborative, multidisciplinary, and educational setting.
Key responsibilities
- Provide inpatient psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for adults.
- Manage a caseload of ~9–10 patients per day, primarily involuntary admissions.
- Coordinate care with psychiatry residents, medical students, nursing, social work, and ancillary services.
- Participate in treatment planning, medication management, crisis intervention, discharge planning, and follow-up coordination.
- Opportunity to teach and mentor residents and medical students (faculty appointment available for eligible candidates).
Patient population and workflow
- Adult inpatient unit; average length of stay approx. 22 days.
- Primarily involuntary admissions; acuity requires collaborative team-based care.
Compensation and benefits
- Paid time off: 4 weeks PTO and 10 paid holidays.

Requirements
