We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible OBGYN physician for locum coverage in Richmond, Virginia. This on-site role emphasizes inpatient rounding and evening/weekend call to support a busy obstetrics and gynecology service.
Schedule & call
- Inpatient rounding on-site during weekdays
- Evening and weekend on-site call coverage
- Typical patient volume: ~11 patients per day
Key responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive inpatient care for obstetric and gynecologic patients
- Conduct daily inpatient rounds, assessments, and management of complex cases
- Provide evening and weekend call coverage to ensure continuous patient care
- Collaborate closely with nursing staff, mid-level providers, and physician colleagues
- Accurately document patient encounters in the electronic medical record
Required qualifications
- Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
- Active Virginia medical license or eligibility to obtain one
- Experience in inpatient OBGYN care, including labor & delivery and gynecologic procedures
- Proficiency with EMR systems, specifically eClinicalWorks (outpatient) and Meditech (inpatient)
