What You'll Need
- Master's degree in special education or a related field from an accredited institution
- Active New York State Special Education teaching certification
- Experience developing and managing individualized learning goals and objectives
- Strong communication skills for engaging students, families, and staff
- Collaborative mindset with a passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs
- Design and deliver engaging lessons aligned to curriculum goals and student needs
- Develop and track individualized goals, adjusting instruction based on student progress
- Collaborate with faculty and leadership to differentiate and implement curriculum effectively
- Implement classroom management strategies and behavior support plans
- Partner with families through regular communication to support student success
