What are the responsibilities and job description for the Art Model (Entry-Level) position at Aaron Knight Fine Art LLC?
This is an entry-level arts job, modeling for photography. We are seeking a motivated Art Model to pose for fine art photography.
No prior modeling experience is required. If you have a background in theater, runway modeling, dance, gymnastics, cheer, yoga, or athletics, that experience may be especially valuable.
About the Role
- Session length: 4–6 hours
- Flexible scheduling: Monday–Friday, arranged week by week
- No long-term commitment required
- All work is paid hourly
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Basic body awareness and understanding of figure art modeling
- Comfort in variety of poses for figure art modeling
- Flexibility and strength to achieve a figure modeling of poses
- Helpful skills include theater, runway modeling, swimming, gymnastics, dance, and yoga
Responsibilities:
- Figure modeling for a professional art photographer
- Punctuality and professionalism is expected
- Models work varying sessions, as scheduled
Education/Experience:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Past modeling experience is not required
Photography Studio
We are an independent artist's studio producing limited editions for collectors and the luxury interior design market. Finished artworks are sold through major dealers (details available upon request). Publication may take significant time after your sessions and modeling does not always result in publication.
Themes include models posed within the studio, or with automobiles, tropical scenery, shadow design, nautical/aquatic motif, or other creative scenarios. Set designs employ dramatic lighting and innovative themes. A typical day of work starts with the photographer guiding you through a series of modeling exercises to develop your skills. Some modeling shoots may be weather dependent.
