What You'll Do
As a Kennel Assistant/Animal Care Specialist, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the health, safety, and happiness of the animals in our care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming animals for admission, ensuring proper identification, and recording their locations and charges.
- Preparing pets for release, ensuring they are clean and well-groomed before returning to their owners.
- Providing compassionate care to animals and exceptional customer service to their owners.
- Answering phones and assisting clients with questions or concerns.
- Cleaning and sanitizing cages, runs, and hospital areas on a regular schedule.
- Maintaining the hospital’s grounds, including waste disposal and light landscaping.
- Collecting urine and fecal specimens and reporting unusual conditions or behaviors.
- Assisting doctors and technicians with patient restraint and medication administration.
- Following OSHA standards and maintaining safety protocols.
- Supporting the team by completing daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and maintenance tasks.
- Helping with laundry and other duties as needed to keep the hospital running smoothly.

No prior experience is required, but a love for animals and a strong work ethic are a must!
