  • Lead the office team: Area Managers, Community Managers and support staff. This role carries no regular portfolio.
  • Serve as the visible, onsite leader for the office and directly supervise the Area Managers assigned to the office.

  • Own employee retention, staffing stability and the development of a consistent, accountable office culture.

  • Attend Board and annual meetings and other meetings as required.
  • Oversee community assignments and the onboarding of new clients into the office.
  • Oversee manager development programs and determine the office’s training needs.
  • Conduct performance reviews for office leadership and staff and ensure annual reviews are completed.

  • Approve and oversee corrective action, including disciplinary action and termination.
  • Manage office financial performance and the office P&L.
  • Shuffle Goal: manage assignments and staffing so that community-level salaries equal 40% or less of total monthly management fees.
  • Ensure operational compliance at the office level with AAM policies and procedures and with state, federal, local and association management statutes.

  • Research obstacles, act within the authority of the role and escalate issues with relevant facts, actions already taken, a recommended solution, a responsible owner and the decision or support needed.
  • Ensure consistent use of AAM tools, processes and reporting standards to identify risks early, connect available information and follow issues through resolution.
  • Success in this role is measured by office performance, staffing, client and employee retention, leadership development and financial results in a smaller market.
  • Other related duties as directed.

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
