Supply Chain Operations Manager Aalo Atomics is pioneering a new era in clean energy with factory-fabricated microreactors designed to deliver affordable, scalable, and reliable nuclear power. Our mission is to make nuclear energy globally accessible, starting with the Aalo-1, a 10 MWe reactor leveraging cutting-edge safety, modularity, and efficiency. Based in Austin, TX, we're rapidly growing as we work to deploy the world's first fleet of advanced microreactors. Join us and help revolutionize energy for a sustainable future. Aalo Atomics is seeking a Supply Chain Operations Manager to lead and scale core supply chain execution capabilities across Receiving, Inventory Control, Materials Storage and Routing, Production Kitting and Point of Use support, and Inbound and Outbound Logistics Operations. This role is responsible for building the systems, processes, and team needed to support reliable material flow, inventory integrity, and operational readiness across operations in Austin and Idaho Falls. This is initially a working manager role. In the near term, the successful candidate will be expected to work hands-on in receiving, material handling, and inventory operations to build deep familiarity with Aalo's processes, systems, and nuclear quality requirements. However, the long-term expectation for this position is not simply to execute the work directly, but to design, standardize, scale, and lead the operation. This leader will establish robust processes, implement effective controls, develop team capability, and create the operating system that enables the function to perform consistently as the company grows. The role should be viewed primarily as a systems builder and people leader for supply chain operations. While the position includes ownership of day-to-day operational performance, hands-on execution is intended to be transitional as the manager develops expertise, improves processes, and scales the organization. The primary scope of the logistics role is focused on operational execution of inbound and outbound shipments and close coordination with logistics providers and internal stakeholders. Additionally, partner with Supply Chain Managers to provide guidance on strategic supplier management, supplier performance and issue resolution. Receiving

Lead receiving operations across Austin and Idaho Falls, ensuring incoming materials are received accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company procedures and quality requirements. Receive, inspect, and process incoming shipments of parts, components, materials, and equipment against purchase orders, packing slips, and engineering documentation. Verify quantities, part numbers, revisions, and condition of all incoming goods, and identify discrepancies, damage, or nonconformances immediately. Perform and document incoming inspection steps in accordance with quality procedures, capturing certifications, material test reports, certificates of conformance, and pedigree or traceability documentation. Read and review shipment paperwork to ensure deliveries include all required documentation for traceability, certificates of conformance, and material test reports. Accurately enter and update inventory records in the ERP or inventory management system, maintaining real-time accuracy across the facility. Tag, label, and route received materials to inspection, quarantine, stock, or point-of-use as appropriate. Segregate and clearly identify nonconforming material, initiating the appropriate quality hold and documentation process. Coordinate closely with procurement, quality, and engineering teams to resolve receiving discrepancies and expedite critical materials.

Inventory Control

Lead inventory control processes to ensure high levels of inventory accuracy, transaction discipline, and traceability across supply chain operations. Maintain accurate inventory records through disciplined system transactions, timely issue resolution, and strong control of material movements. Plan and execute cycle counts, physical inventories, and reconciliation efforts to uphold inventory integrity. Investigate inventory discrepancies, determine root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions. Work closely with Finance to ensure inventory records align with accounting requirements, valuation practices, and reporting expectations. Support audits by maintaining accurate inventory records, transaction histories, and material control documentation. Develop and improve inventory control procedures that support lot control, serialization, status identification, and traceability requirements.

Materials Storage and Routing

Lead material handling operations to ensure proper storage, protection, movement, and control of materials throughout the facility. Maintain organized, clean, and properly controlled receiving and storage areas, including environmentally controlled and security-controlled storage where required. Establish and improve standard processes for material routing from receiving through inspection, storage, production, and shipping. Ensure materials are stored in ways that preserve quality, maintain traceability, and support efficient retrieval and movement. Drive strong warehouse discipline and visual control practices to improve space utilization, material flow, and operational reliability. Handle materials safely using pallet jacks, forklifts, and hand tools, while ensuring adherence to all safety and material-handling protocols.

Production Kitting and Point of Use

Develop and oversee production kitting and point-of-use material support processes that enable manufacturing efficiency and material availability. Ensure materials are accurately picked, staged, and delivered to the correct point of use in alignment with production needs. Partner with Manufacturing, Planning, and Engineering to support material readiness for builds, work orders, and production activities. Improve systems and workflows that support reliable replenishment, kit accuracy, and material visibility on the production floor. Establish process controls that reduce shortages, mispicks, transaction errors, and delays in production support.

Inbound and Outbound Logistics Operations

Oversee day-to-day execution of inbound and outbound shipping activities to ensure timely, compliant, and cost-effective transportation of materials and products. Coordinate shipments with carriers, brokers, freight forwarders, and internal stakeholders to support operational priorities. Support development and refinement of logistics processes, tools, and reporting to improve shipment visibility and execution reliability. Partner closely with Purchasing and other stakeholders on logistics provider performance, cost issues, and service expectations. Resolve shipment issues, delays, damages, and claims in coordination with internal teams and external service providers. Support the evolution of logistics operations as the company grows, with the understanding that broader logistics management responsibilities may transition to a dedicated logistics leader over time.

Leadership and Organizational Development

Build and lead the supply chain operations function across Austin and Idaho Falls with a focus on scalable systems, clear roles, and disciplined execution. Serve as an initially hands-on leader while transitioning the function toward sustainable team-based execution. Develop standard work, operating procedures, training materials, controls, metrics, and management routines for receiving, inventory control, material handling, and logistics operations. Hire, train, coach, and develop team members who will execute and sustain the operation over time. Establish performance expectations, accountability, and continuous improvement practices across the team. Partner cross-functionally with Purchasing, Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Planning, and Finance to improve end-to-end material flow and operational readiness. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, inventory accuracy, space utilization, and scalability. Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety standards, and applicable regulatory and quality requirements, including those relevant to nuclear operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in supply chain, operations, business, engineering, logistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 5 years of experience in receiving, warehouse operations, materials management, inventory control, logistics operations, or supply chain operations. 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience in an operational environment. Strong hands-on experience in receiving, material handling, inventory control, and warehouse or stockroom operations. Experience using ERP or inventory management systems in a manufacturing or operational environment. Demonstrated success improving inventory accuracy, material flow, and process discipline. Experience planning and executing cycle counts, physical inventory, and reconciliation activities. Experience reviewing receiving documentation, including purchase orders, packing slips, certificates of conformance, and material test reports. Strong understanding of material traceability, nonconforming material controls, and documentation discipline in a quality-sensitive environment. Strong cross-functional communication skills and the ability to work effectively with Purchasing, Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Planning, and Finance. Ability and willingness to work hands
