What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant position at Aalberts hydronic flow control - North America?
Aalberts hydronic flow control is seeking a Senior Accountant to support our manufacturing site in Bedford, Indiana. This role is responsible for leading local accounting and financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. The Senior Accountant will serve as the main finance contact for the Bedford facility and collaborate closely with our North America finance team in Fishers, IN.
- Manage daily accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll coordination
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly financial statements
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Maintain fixed asset and capital project records
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and regulatory requirements
- Assist with internal and external audits
- Partner with corporate finance to improve reporting processes and system integration
- Provide financial insights to site leadership to support operational and strategic decisions
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and general ledger management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems (NetSuite and Microsoft Dynamics experience preferred)
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving ability
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with local and remote teams
- CPA or active pursuit of certification
- Experience with NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics or other integrated ERP platforms
- Exposure to corporate consolidations or multi-entity reporting
This position is based on-site in Bedford, Indiana, with occasional travel to our Fishers, IN.
