Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. Duties

• Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams to diagnose issues accurately.
• Perform electrical diagnostics and troubleshoot electrical systems within HVAC equipment using tools such as ohmmeters.
• Conduct routine maintenance on mechanical systems to ensure peak performance and energy efficiency.
• Repair refrigeration systems, including ammonia refrigeration units where applicable, ensuring compliance with safety standards such as EPA regulations.
• Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to troubleshoot mechanical systems repair issues efficiently.
• Collaborate with property maintenance teams to coordinate HVAC system installation projects and ongoing system upgrades.
• Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and reports for all repairs and installations performed.
• Provide exceptional customer service by explaining technical issues clearly and offering solutions that meet client needs.
• Adhere to safety protocols related to electrical systems, plumbing, refrigerants, and building automation systems to ensure a safe working environment.

Experience

• Proven experience as an HVAC service technician or in a similar construction or property maintenance role.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience repairing HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems.
• Familiarity with schematics, blueprints, electrical diagnostics, and HVAC design principles.
• Experience working with building automation systems (BAS) and electrical systems within commercial or residential settings.
• Ability to operate hand tools efficiently and perform equipment troubleshooting effectively.
• Knowledge of plumbing systems related to HVAC applications is preferred.
• Valid EPA certification for handling refrigerants is required; additional certifications in ammonia refrigeration or boiler operation are a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is essential for travel between job sites.
