AAIM is looking for a Strategic HR Advisor who knows how to open doors, stay in motion, and close business.

Our Strategic HR Advisors serve as a key connection point between employers and the HR solutions that help them succeed. You will prospect for new business, grow relationships with existing members, and position AAIM's services and technology as strategic solutions to real business challenges.

This is not a passive account management position. It is a role for someone who is energized by pursuing opportunities, building a pipeline, following through relentlessly, and turning conversations into action. The right person in this role builds momentum through strong conversations, connecting workforce challenges to business outcomes and confidently recommending solutions that move organizations forward.

What You'll Do

Drive new business growth

  • Self-generate leads and actively build a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities
  • Pursue prospects through consistent outreach, follow-up, and meeting conversion
  • Create urgency and move opportunities forward through a consultative sales process
  • Conduct impactful sales conversations, presentations, and demonstrations of AAIM's offerings
  • Close new membership and service opportunities that align with client needs

Grow and expand existing relationships

  • Manage and grow an assigned book of business
  • Meet with members regularly to uncover operational gaps, business needs, and growth opportunities
  • Recommend relevant AAIM services, solutions, and technology to deepen engagement and increase revenue
  • Balance relationship-building with a clear focus on action, accountability, and results

Own your activity and execution

  • Maintain accurate activity, pipeline notes, account details, and follow-up plans in Salesforce
  • Use reporting and CRM insights to manage priorities and drive strategy
  • Stay organized, responsive, and disciplined in moving opportunities from first contact to close
  • Partner with internal teams and product managers to deliver the right solutions to the right clients

Represent AAIM in the market

  • Attend events, networking opportunities, and community functions to build visibility and generate opportunities
  • Serve as a confident, credible representative of AAIM's brand and value
  • Stay current on workplace trends, HR challenges, and business issues impacting employers

What We're Looking For

  • 3 to5 years of success in consultative sales, business development, account executive, or relationship-based revenue roles
  • A proven ability to prospect, follow up, create momentum, and close business
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both in person and virtually
  • Experience in a membership-based or service-driven organization, with an understanding of business operations and how to communicate value to gain buy-in, is a plus
  • Confidence initiating conversations and asking questions that uncover real business needs
  • A high sense of ownership, urgency, and personal accountability
  • Strong organization and time management skills, with disciplined follow-through
  • Comfort using CRM tools such as Salesforce to manage pipeline and activity
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience

Work Environment & Travel

This is a full-time exempt role (M–F, 8–5, with some flexibility). Expect about 10–20% travel across Greater St. Louis, MO Metro Region, Indianapolis, IN and Central IL - because the best connections still happen face-to-face.

Pay Range: $75,000 to $115,000 (Base plus Commission)
