AAIM Employers' Association has supported organizations for over 125 years, helping them navigate the day-to-day realities of HR. As our work continues to grow, we're expanding our bench of experienced HR professionals who can step in and contribute immediately as needs arise, both with the organizations we support and within our internal operations.
This is a part-time, on-demand opportunity where work is assigned based on active projects and internal workload. Engagements may range from a few hours to multi-week or longer-term support. While there are no guaranteed minimum hours, there is steady opportunity for those who can step in quickly, stay responsive, and operate with a high level of independence.
What This Role Looks Like
You'll step into active HR work where and when it's needed, supporting project-based initiatives and assisting internally when volume requires it. This role is best suited for someone who is comfortable taking ownership, stepping in quickly, and knowing how to move work forward.

Typical Work May Include
- Employee relations support, including documentation and issue resolution
- Recruiting and onboarding coordination
- HR compliance and personnel file management
- Policy and handbook updates
- Performance management tracking and documentation
- HRIS updates and data entry
- Internal operational support, including background verification processing and related HR tasks
- 5 years of progressive experience in an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner role
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and step into established environments with minimal direction
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities and shifting between different types of HR work
- Strong judgment, attention to detail, and follow-through
- Clear, professional communication style across all levels of an organization
- Bachelor's degree in HR or related field preferred
- SHRM or HRCI certification strongly preferred
- Ability to support onsite work in the St. Louis area when needed
