Our client is a global proprietary quantitative trading firm looking for a detail-oriented Business Analyst to support daily trading operations, with a primary focus on trading reconciliation. This role is critical to ensuring data accuracy, resolving discrepancies, and improving operational efficiency in a fast-paced trading environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily reconciliation by working closely with accounting department to reconcile activity, and with brokers and exchanges to understand and resolve differences
- Maintain strong controls, documentation, and audit trails
- Drive automation and process improvements to reduce manual workflows
- Manage relationships with brokers, exchanges, and external partners
- Support business analysis, performance monitoring, and new opportunity research
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or analytical field
- Proven experience or strong understanding of trading reconciliation processes
- Advanced Excel skills; Python or scripting is a plus
- Strong attention to detail, ownership, and problem-solving ability
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with external counterparties
- Ability to operate in a global, time-sensitive trading environment
Preferred
- Experience in trading firms, hedge funds, or similar environments
- Familiarity with equities, futures, or other financial instruments
- Background in automation or process optimization
