About the Construction Estimator Role, We are seeking a Construction Estimator with strong experience in commercial construction to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys managing the full lifecycle of project proposals – from site visits to final estimates.
Estimator - Commercia Construction Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate client requests and develop detailed, accurate proposals
- Perform construction bidding and cost estimating
- Formulate a written schedule of values for the proposed work
- Conduct pre-bid site visits and assessments
- Review bid documents and manage the proposal process
- Prepare conceptual scope of work drawings
- Creating simple CAD or equivalent drawings for proposal purposes
- Prepare and distribute proposal packages with all bidding documentation to solicit pricing from vendors and subcontractors
- Source new subcontractors and vendors
- Maintain and update historical cost data and vendor lists
- Proficient with blueprints reading
- Knowledge of construction principles and construction codes requirements
- OSHA 30 certified
- Willing to travel
Estimator - Commercia Construction Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong background in commercial construction estimating
- Looking for 5 or more years or equivalent commercial construction estimating experience
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
