Position Summary
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of our painting projects — ensuring every job is scheduled properly, staffed correctly, completed on time, and delivered with a five-star customer experience.
This includes:
- Scheduling projects and managing the production calendar
- Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring painters/subcontractors
- Ordering paint and materials
- Conducting job costing and managing project budgets
- Communicating with customers from scheduling to project completion
- Scheduling crews and ensuring proper staffing
- Conducting site visits and quality checks
- Managing customer concerns or complaints professionally
- Taking before-and-after photos and documenting progress
- Placing door hangers in surrounding neighborhoods
- Tracking all job details in our production management system
- Ensuring safety, cleanliness, and professionalism on job sites
- Driving to job sites daily to monitor progress
- Participating in weekly team and training meetings
You will be the key point of contact for the homeowner and the crew, ensuring that every project meets AA Total Painting’s standards of craftsmanship and customer service.
Earnings & Structure
Base Pay: $20 per hour
Commission: Performance-based bonuses tied to project completion quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
Typical Annual Earnings:
$20/hr full-time = approximately $41,600/year
With bonuses: $56,000 per year
Top Performers:
$41,600 base strong performance bonuses = $65,000 per year

What You’ll Do

Project Coordination & Scheduling
- Build and manage the weekly and monthly project schedule
- Confirm start dates with customers
- Assign crews to jobs based on project scope and availability
- Ensure crews have clear instructions and daily expectations
Production & Quality Control
- Conduct site visits before, during, and after projects
- Verify surface preparation, quality of work, and cleanup standards
- Take before, during, and after photos for documentation
- Communicate with homeowners daily regarding project updates
- Track materials used and ensure efficient job completion
Materials & Logistics
- Order paint and supplies for each project
- Pick up paint/materials as needed
- Ensure crews have ladders, drop cloths, tools, and PPE
- Maintain inventory records
Customer Relations
- Serve as the customer’s main point of contact
- Handle concerns and complaints professionally
- Ensure customer satisfaction at project completion
- Conduct walkthroughs with homeowners
Recruitment & Team Building
- Recruit painters and subcontractors
- Conduct interviews and evaluate skill level
- Help onboard and train painters in company standards
Administrative & Systems
- Enter project details into our production management software
- Track hours, materials, and job costs
- Ensure projects meet profitability and timeline targets
- Attend weekly meetings for planning and performance review
Marketing Support
- Place door hangers around active project sites
- Help generate leads when needed during slower seasons
- Represent AA Total Painting with professionalism
This is a hands-on, field-based role with a mix of in-office coordination and job site oversight.
What You Bring

- No project management experience required — we will train you
- Experience in the painting or construction industry is a plus
Requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must pass a background check
- Ability to lift 25–40 lbs (paint, ladders, etc.)
- Ability to drive to multiple job sites per day
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday–Friday
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with occasional weekends depending on project needs
- Some flexibility required based on customer schedules or crew availability
