We are seeking an experienced Door & Automatic Door Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver who can troubleshoot the complete door opening, including automatic door operators, automatic sliding doors, gate operators, exit devices, electrified hardware, locks, doors, frames, closers, and access control systems.

Responsibilities
- Install, service, repair, and maintain commercial manual and automatic doors.
- Install, adjust, program, troubleshoot, and repair ADA door operators.
- Install and service commercial door hardware, including locks, door closers, pivots, exit devices, panic hardware, and electrified hardware.
- Install and troubleshoot access control systems, electric locking hardware, and gate operators.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical door system problems and determine the root cause.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Maintain accurate service records for repairs, installations, and preventive maintenance.
- Maintain an organized inventory of tools, equipment, and parts.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service.
- Work independently and collaboratively with other technicians.
Additional Low-Voltage Responsibilities
Training will be provided as needed for the following:
- Install and troubleshoot access control and security systems.
- Support PBX telephone and DVR/NVR-based security camera systems.
- Install and troubleshoot low-voltage cabling, fiber-optic cable, and coaxial cable.
- Install racks, patch panels, cable management, and network equipment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience with commercial and/or automatic doors, including commercial doors, frames, door closers, exit devices, panic hardware, and electrified hardware.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with automatic door operators.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Basic electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Ability to lift approximately 50 to 75 lbs.
- AAADM certification is a plus.
- Welding experience is a plus.
- Previous electrical or low-voltage experience is a plus.
- Construction-related experience is preferred.
