About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, professional, and detail-oriented Medical Delivery Driver to join our growing courier team in the Pittsburgh area. In this role, you will be responsible for the timely and secure transportation of medical specimens from healthcare facilities to designated FedEx drop-off locations, ensuring all deliveries meet required deadlines and handling standards.
Because you will be transporting medical specimens, professionalism, accuracy, and confidentiality are essential.
Responsibilities
- Pick up medical specimens from healthcare facilities according to assigned routes.
- Transport specimens safely while following all handling procedures.
- Deliver specimens to designated FedEx drop-off boxes before the daily cutoff times.
- Maintain accurate pickup and delivery records.
- Communicate route updates or delays with dispatch.
- Follow all HIPAA and confidentiality requirements.
- Maintain a clean, reliable, and well-maintained vehicle.
- Represent the company professionally when interacting with clients.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Reliable personal vehicle with current registration and insurance.
- Smartphone with GPS and internet access.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
- Previous courier, medical delivery, or logistics experience is preferred but not required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with the Pittsburgh area.
- Experience using navigation and route optimization apps.
