The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various environments, including commercial and residential spaces. Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
• Ensure all areas are clean and well-maintained, including restrooms, kitchens, and common areas.
• Conduct floor care activities to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Handle janitorial duties in various settings, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Assist with industrial cleaning tasks as needed, ensuring equipment and facilities are kept in optimal condition.
• Maintain supplies and equipment used for cleaning tasks, reporting any shortages or maintenance needs.

Experience

• Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial roles is preferred.
• Familiarity with custodial practices and procedures is a plus.
• Experience in floor care techniques such as buffing is advantageous.
• Knowledge of commercial cleaning standards and practices is beneficial.
• Must be able to follow a scope of work task list

Duties

• Perform general cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across various areas of the facility
• Maintain floors through buffing, polishing, and other floor care techniques to ensure a professional appearance
• Conduct deep cleaning of restrooms, kitchens, and common areas to meet health and safety standards
• Handle custodial responsibilities such as window washing, carpet cleaning, and surface sanitation
• Assist with minor maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs or fixtures as needed
• Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly maintained and stored
• Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries
• Support industrial cleaning tasks when required, including cleaning large equipment or specialized areas

Experience

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred; familiarity with commercial or residential cleaning is advantageous
• Experience with floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, and sealing floors
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning procedures and facilities maintenance practices is a plus
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as buffers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners effectively
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Reliable work ethic with a focus on maintaining high cleanliness standards in fast-paced environments

Pay: $17.27 - $18.27 per hour

Expected hours: 4.0 – 17.0 per week
