Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of vehicles including shuttles, buses, limousines, and paratransit vans to transport passengers or goods efficiently and safely
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and routine maintenance checks to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with all regulations
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing excellent customer service and support as needed
- Deliver packages or supplies promptly while adhering to scheduled routes and delivery windows
- Handle heavy lifting when loading or unloading cargo or equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain accurate logs of trips, deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance records
- Communicate clearly with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate schedules and address any issues promptly
Qualifications
- Proven experience in shuttle driving, delivery driving, bus driving, or limousine service; paratransit or school bus driving experience is highly valued
- Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., commercial driver’s license if required) with a clean driving record
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with passengers and team members
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physical demands of the role
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics to identify issues early and ensure safety standards are met
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Ability to follow detailed routes, schedules, and safety protocols accurately
