What You'll Do

As an Experienced HVAC Service Technician, you'll be trusted to provide high-quality service while creating an exceptional experience for our customers. You'll diagnose problems, provide solutions, perform repairs and maintenance, and help homeowners understand their HVAC systems and options.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain residential HVAC systems.
• Perform thorough system evaluations and identify repair or maintenance needs.
• Clearly explain findings and recommended solutions to homeowners.
• Provide customers with options so they can make informed decisions about their homes.
• Complete work safely, efficiently, and according to A-1's quality standards.
• Maintain accurate job documentation and customer information.
• Keep your company vehicle, tools, equipment, and work areas organized and professional.
• Deliver the level of customer service that keeps customers coming back to A-1.
• Participate in ongoing technical, customer-service, and leadership training.
• Work with dispatchers, CSRs, installers, managers, and fellow technicians as one team.
• Continue developing your technical knowledge and skills as the HVAC industry evolves.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of HVAC service experience.
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment, components, and parts.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
• Professional and presentable appearance.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and customer-focused.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to participate in company-provided training and continuing education.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements.
• Ability to perform the physical duties associated with residential HVAC service work.

Preferred Qualifications

• EPA Certification
• NATE Certification
• Additional HVAC certifications, manufacturer training, or advanced technical experience are a plus.
