Duties
- Assist with the installation of residential garage doors, including hanging doors and framing.
- Perform repairs and routine maintenance on existing garage doors and openers.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks such as door hanging, fabrication, and fixture installation.
- Conduct heavy lifting of garage doors, components, and related equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Apply sales techniques to reach the company goal.
- Apply mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting issues with door systems and openers.
- Install ancillary components such as locks, fixtures, trim carpentry elements, and electrical wiring where applicable.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment on construction sites or customer locations.
- Follow safety guidelines diligently to prevent accidents during all phases of work.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and to high standards.
- Engage in ongoing training to expand skills in locksmithing, remodeling, electrical work, or other related trades.
Skills
- Sales experience is preferred.
- Proficiency with hand tools (screwdrivers, hammers), power tools (drills, saws), and metal fabrication equipment.
