Role Description

Funding Research Consultant (FRC) will be responsible for researching, identifying and initial contact of funding sources. Assigning and training of all program staff and volunteers regarding this project. This position will network with funding agencies and/or personnel obtaining and subsequent application of RFP’s and guidelines for our programs. The FRC will oversee staffers completion of necessary forms and documents related to funding sources. The FRC will work with the Director of Operations and/or Executive Director in assessing its funding needs. This position reports to the Director of Operations.


This is a remote/virtual position however, the preferred candidate will live/work in the United States.


Qualifications

  • Strong research capabilities, including experience with Research and Market Research tools and methods to identify and assess funding opportunities.
  • Demonstrated Analytical Skills to interpret funding criteria, evaluate program–funder alignment, and synthesize findings into practical recommendations.
  • Consulting and Communication skills to advise internal stakeholders, present funding options, and collaborate effectively with program and leadership teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain detailed, accurate documentation of prospects and submissions.
  • Familiarity with nonprofit funding, grant processes, or philanthropy; prior experience in community services, social impact, or related fields is beneficial.
