Vice President of Finance & Administration (CFO Track)
We’re a growing industrial electrical maintenance & services company (~$20M revenue, scaling to $30M ) seeking a hands‑on, operational finance leader to build and scale our finance and administrative function.
This is a player‑coach role today with a clear path to Chief Financial Officer as the business grows.
The Opportunity
You’ll partner directly with the COO as the company’s primary financial leader, owning reporting, cash flow, job profitability, and operational insight in a field‑services environment. This role goes beyond accounting — it’s about building a financial engine that drives growth, margin discipline, and accountability.
What You’ll Own
- Monthly close & reporting (decision‑ready within 15 business days)
- Rolling cash flow forecast & capital planning
- Job costing, margin analysis, and pricing insight
- Executive dashboards tied to technician productivity & profitability
- Strategic oversight of HR, payroll, benefits, and admin
- Management of a $500K insurance and risk portfolio
- Oversight of a 45 vehicle fleet
- Support for acquisition analysis and integration as growth continues
What Success Looks Like
- Clean, trusted financials used by leadership to run the business
- Clear visibility into job profitability and labor productivity
- Strong cash discipline and forecasting
- Scalable systems that support growth and future acquisitions
Who You Are
- 10–15 years of progressive finance experience
- Background in industrial services, construction, manufacturing, or field services
- Deep experience with job costing / project‑based accounting
- A hands‑on leader ready to step up from Controller or Director of Finance
- Interested in progressing into a CFO role
CPA and ERP experience a plus
Compensation
- Base: $180K–$200K
- Bonus: 15–25%
- Total comp: $200K–$250K
- Long‑term upside aligned with CFO progression
