What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fire Sprinkler Service Technician position at A Total Solution, Inc.?
Responsibilities:
- Lead service calls, inspections, and repairs across multiple system types
- Diagnose complex issues in wet, dry, pre-action, standpipe, and fire pump systems
- Mentor and guide junior technicians in the field
- Communicate directly with customers, inspectors, and project managers
- Ensure all work meets NFPA 25 standards and local AHJ requirements
- Manage job materials, truck stock, and daily scheduling in coordination with office
- Complete detailed service reports and deficiency documentation
Requirements:
- 5 years fire sprinkler service experience
- Strong working knowledge of NFPA codes and field application
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and lead service work independently
- Experience handling inspections, repairs, and customer interactions
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Leadership mindset, accountability, and professionalism
Preferred:
- NICET Certification (II or higher is a plus)
- Experience with fire pumps and advanced system diagnostics
