Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service to enhance their shopping experience
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions including sales, returns, and exchanges
- Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits, encouraging sales
- Assist with merchandising and stocking shelves to maintain an attractive store layout
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cash handling duties with precision and integrity
- Upsell products by identifying customer needs and recommending additional items or upgrades
- Maintain phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering preferred; supervisory experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for accurate transactions
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are highly valued for serving diverse customers
- Ability to perform cashier duties including cash handling, balancing registers, and managing receipts
- Knowledge of grocery store operations or experience working in a grocery environment is advantageous
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
