Are you looking to grow in the Environmental Health & Safety field? We are seeking an EHS Technician I who is detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about promoting health and safety standards in the field. The ideal candidate is a focused, hands-on problem solver, analytical, and able to work independently or as part of a team. You should be adaptable, ready to take on challenges, and thrive in dynamic environments where each day brings new opportunities to make a positive impact. As an EHS Technician I, you’ll shadow more experienced staff, gaining valuable experience in conducting environmental assessments, clearance testing, and project monitoring. You’ll work closely with our EHS Field Operations Supervisor, assisting in the collection of samples and completing necessary documentation. What You’ll Do:
Shadow more experienced staff to learn how to conduct soil, water, air assessments, clearance testing, and project monitoring.
Learn to identify, apply, and comprehend regulatory requirements for various projects.
Collect samples in accordance with regulations and company protocols, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
Input field data into our proprietary software, EnviroShare and document project tasks.
Assist with the development of floor plans for assessments and ensure all documentation is accurate and complete.
Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and field personnel to ensure project success.
Follow company safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
What You Bring:
HAZWOPER40 Certification and CDPH Lead Sampling Technician certification.
In the process of obtaining industry-related certifications (e.g., ASP, CSST, EIT).
Basic understanding of federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., EPA, OSHA, DOSH, CDPH).
Familiarity with chain-of-custody procedures and respiratory requirements.
Ability to work in various environmental conditions and travel to project sites.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and team members.
Ability to work in the field as needed, and availability to work long hours, including weekends, overtime and double time.
