Position Overview (HIGH PRIORITY CASE – PALMETTO, FL)
We are currently seeking a highly experienced, compassionate caregiver to support a teenage male in Palmetto, Florida who requires total care and 1:1 support.
This is a structured and consistent case ideal for caregivers experienced with intellectual disabilities, behavioral engagement, and hands-on care.
Schedule
- Monday – Friday: 2:00 PM – 11:30 PM
- Occasional Saturdays (as needed for relief coverage)
Client Needs & Expectations
- Teenage male diagnosed with intellectual disabilities
- Requires TOTAL CARE (hands-on support with all ADLs)
- Needs a caregiver who can:
- Actively engage and interact (not passive care)
- Provide structured routine and supervision
- Ensure safety awareness and consistency
- Support community integration and activities when appropriate
Key Responsibilities
- Full assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs):
- Bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting
- Feeding support and meal preparation
- Medication reminders and monitoring
- Behavioral engagement and redirection
- Light housekeeping (laundry, dishes, maintaining clean environment)
- Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment
- Document and report any changes in condition or behavior
Requirements (MUST HAVE)
- Minimum 1 year experience with total care clients
- Experience working with intellectual or developmental disabilities
- Ability to handle hands-on care (lifting, transfers if needed)
- Reliable transportation
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must pass:
- Level II Background Screening
- Livescan Fingerprinting
