Duties
- Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, planting, pruning, and planting bed care to keep outdoor areas vibrant and healthy
- Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, leaf blowers, excavators, and power tools with precision and safety awareness
- Manage irrigation systems by inspecting for leaks, adjusting timers, and repairing components to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns
- Conduct tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and removal while adhering to safety standards and horticultural best practices
- Maintain hardscape features such as pathways, patios, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures through cleaning and minor repairs
- Assist with construction or repair projects involving landscaping or indoor structures as needed
- Follow all safety protocols diligently during equipment operation and outdoor work activities to prevent accidents or injuries
Requirements
- Proven experience in outdoor work environments with knowledge of grounds maintenance and landscaping techniques
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to landscaping equipment, power tools, irrigation systems, and heavy machinery such as excavators
- Hands-on experience with lawn care practices including mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aeration
- Experience operating groundskeeping equipment like trimmers, blowers, lawnmowers, snow plows, and excavators
- Ability to follow detailed safety protocols consistently during all maintenance activities
- Excellent physical stamina for outdoor work in varying weather conditions; ability to lift heavy objects when necessary
- Construction experience or familiarity with hardscape installation is advantageous
- Valid outdoor work experience demonstrating responsibility in maintaining property aesthetics and safety
