Position Overview:
Broadmoor UMC is looking for a Facilities Maintenance person who will play a critical role in the maintenance, security, and janitorial upkeep of our facilities. This position involves the upkeep of our church buildings, grounds, and infrastructure, ensuring a safe, functional, and inviting environment for our congregation and the broader community.
Key Responsibilities: Following the direction of the Facilities Manager.
1. Facility Maintenance and Repairs:
- Execute regular maintenance schedules for all church buildings and grounds.
- Help with repairs, renovations, and upgrades as necessary.
- Ensure all safety and building code standards are met and maintained.
2. Security and Safety:
- Help with security protocols and procedures to protect the church property and its occupants following the direction of our Facilities Manager.
- Help with safety inspections and emergency response plans.
3. Communication and Reporting:
- Regularly update the Facilities Manager on facility-related matters.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Qualifications:
- Willingness to do manual labor
- Ability to lift 50lbs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability and ability to pass background check and work near children.
- Commitment to the mission and values of Broadmoor UMC.
