About A Safe Haven:
A Safe Haven is a nationally recognized model of transformation, a place where people in crisis can access food, shelter, treatment, medical care, education, job training, and employment all under one roof. Our mission is to help individuals aspire, transform, and sustain their lives as they move from homelessness to self-sufficiency with pride and purpose.

About Open Roads Behavioral Health:
Open Roads Behavioral Health, a department of A Safe Haven, provides high-quality, evidence-based behavioral health services to historically underserved communities. We serve children, adolescents, young adults, and families through our Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) and traditional outpatient therapy. Our IOPs specialize in the treatment of depression, anxiety, substance use, and eating disorders.

Position Overview:

Open Roads Behavioral Health is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and motivated Eating Disorder Therapist (LCPC/LCSW) to play a key role in the growth of our Adolescent Eating Disorder Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). This is an exciting opportunity to join a mission-driven organization that prioritizes access to high-quality care for Medicaid-insured and marginalized populations. You will help shape treatment that is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and rooted in evidence-based practice.

Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

Clinical Care

  • Provide evidence-based individual, family, and group therapy for adolescents and their families affected by eating disorders.
  • Deliver meal support, modeling appropriate eating behaviors and offering therapeutic support during meals and snacks.
  • Provide psychoeducation and family therapy to strengthen recovery within the family system.
  • Conduct clinical assessments, intakes, and determine appropriate admission and level of care in coordination with referral agencies and medical providers.
  • Develop and regularly update individualized treatment plans that outline goals and recommended interventions.
  • Assess clients’ clinical level of care criteria and make recommendations for appropriate transitions through stages of treatment.

Collaboration & Coordination

  • Coordinate care with a multidisciplinary treatment team including recovery coaches, dietitians, therapists, and other internal & external providers to ensure comprehensive and consistent care.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings, supervision sessions, and ongoing professional development trainings.

Program Development & Support

  • Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain documentation in accordance with agency policies and best practice standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility to adapt to evolving program needs.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed LCPC or LCSW in the State of Illinois.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience treating eating disorders preferred.
  • Experience and/or strong interest in working with adolescents and families.
  • Commitment to culturally responsive, trauma-informed care and to serving historically marginalized and Medicaid-insured populations.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based approaches such as CBT-E, DBT, RO-DBT, and/or ACT.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Why Join Open Roads?

  • Be part of a growing, mission-driven team expanding access to eating disorder care in underserved communities.
  • Help shape and strengthen a new Adolescent Eating Disorder IOP.
  • Access ongoing training, supervision, and professional development opportunities.
  • Contribute to a program that bridges the gap between mental health equity and evidence-based clinical care.

Compensation

  • Salary: $60.000 -$80,000
  • Excellent benefits (health, disability, time off, retirement)
  • Professional development stipend
