Your expertise will ensure that materials are prepared accurately to cut sheets provided contributing to the successful completion of home builder new construction and residential projects. Responsibilities
- Operate bridgesaw safely and efficiently to cut kitchen and vanity countertops according to project specifications
- Read and interpret technical drawings to determine cutting requirements and dimensions
- Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs to prevent downtime
- Monitor the cutting process continuously to ensure accuracy and quality of finished pieces
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including measurements taken and materials processed
- Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times during operation
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating bridgesaws or similar heavy-duty cutting machinery in a manufacturing or construction environment
- Strong understanding of technical drawings, measurements, and material properties
- Ability to read cutsheet and interpret project specifications accurately
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality standards
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and handle heavy materials as needed
- Good communication skills for collaborating with team members and supervisors
- Certifications related to machinery operation or safety training are a plus but not mandatory
